PSA Levels - What Direction You Want Them To Go

If you're wondering what your PSA is, and how to improve them, then check this out. First, it means the dog?

Basically, it stands for prostate specific antigen.

And the people who have elevated levels in the blood tend to have more problems with the prostate (including prostate cancer) compared with men with lower levels.

, however, it is not always the case.

There are many cases in which a man had a high PSA numbers and there is absolutely nothing wrong. And then, there are cases in which a man had a low PSA levels only have a lot of prostate symptoms, and even cancer.

So, the point is your PSA levels are not necessarily the best measure of whether you are anything wrong with your prostate.

What really matters is what direction will they?

In other words, when you get your PSA checked, if your numbers go up or down from last time?

This is important.

In general, you want your numbers to go down every time you test.

, however, you should also realize that many things can cause those numbers to change. Including doing something as simple as having sex the night before the PSA test. Or ride a bike a lot. Or have enlarged prostate. Or any number of factors.

This is why in some way the numbers are worthless.

But they can be useful.

Again, what is the trend?

Have your PSA number goes up or down over time? This is a question to ask.
